In a pre-dawn intelligence-driven operation on Thursday, 04 December 2025, a multi-unit police team arrested a 47-year-old Nigerian national on allegations of drug dealing.
The operation, conducted at approximately 05:00, involved members of the Provincial Organised Crime’s Narcotics unit, the White River K9 Unit, the Tactical Response Team (TRT), and the Anti-Gang Unit. Acting on received intelligence, the team proceeded to a targeted house in the Valencia area of Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
A subsequent search of the premises led to the discovery and seizure of a significant quantity of suspected illicit substances and cash. The seized items include:

1.27 kilograms of suspected Crystal Meth.

1.86 kilograms of suspected cocaine.

Approximately R28,000 in cash.
The suspect was formally charged with dealing in drugs. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance at the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 05 December 2025.
