The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Western Cape has launched an intensive manhunt for four unidentified gunmen following a brutal triple murder in Rocklands, Mitchell’s Plain, on Tuesday evening.
The attack occurred on Viscount Street on 02 December 2025. According to preliminary police reports, the assailants opened fire on the premises before entering the house and shooting the occupants.
The incident claimed the lives of a nine-year-old boy, a 21-year-old woman, and a 26-year-old man. Two further victims, men aged 51 and 36, were wounded and rushed to medical facilities for treatment.
Detectives from the specialized Anti-Gang Unit have been assigned to the investigation. Police confirm they are pursuing several promising leads to track down the perpetrators responsible for what authorities have termed a “heinous” crime.
