A man was left critically injured after allegedly shooting himself inside a local restaurant in La Mercy, north of Durban, on Sunday afternoon, 21 September 2025.
KZNVIP Medics were immediately dispatched to the incident and upon arrival found the male with serious injuries.
KZNVIP Medics stabilised the patient on scene before transporting him to a nearby medical facility for urgent care.
A firearm was recovered on scene and handed over to SAPS for further investigation. At this stage, the circumstances leading up to the incident cannot be confirmed. All emergency services were in attendance.
