While conducting crime prevention duties around Vereeniging, members of the Gauteng Traffic Police and Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (Southern Corridor) spotted a suspicious vehicle with three occupants.
The vehicle was stopped and searched, and the driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
In a separate incident, officers noticed a vehicle being driven recklessly. The vehicle was immediately pulled over and the driver failed to produce a valid driver’s license. He was also found to be under the influence of alcohol
Both suspects were arrested as part of continued efforts to curb reckless driving, drunk driving, and lawlessness on Gauteng roads.
