An 18-year-old male was robbed by four (4) suspects who were fleeing the scene of a business robbery in Waterloo – KZN this afternoon (Thursday).
Two (2) of the suspects were armed with firearms. According to the victim, the men approached and held him at gunpoint. They pistol whipped him before depriving him of his Samsung J4 cellphone. The robbers fired two (2) shots before they fled in a white Nissan NP 200 bakkie. Two (2) spent cartridges from a replica firearm were recovered.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) attending to the scene determined that the suspects were fleeing the scene of a business robbery when they attacked the teenager. The Nissan NP200 bakkie was also taken during the robbery.
Shortly after the incident, the bakkie was recovered by a security company abandoned near Ginger Road in Waterloo, KwaZulu-Natal.
