Members of the Public Order Police and the Anti-Economic Crime Task Team swiftly responded to a shooting complaint in Avonwood, Elsies River, on Wednesday, 18 June 2025. After gathering critical information about the incident and obtaining a description of the suspect, authorities traced the individual to a premises in Porterville Court.
Upon searching the location, officers discovered an adult male matching the suspect’s description. Inside a Wendy house, they recovered two 9mm pistols along with ammunition. The suspect was immediately arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
The accused is set to appear in the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 20 June 2025, to face the charges. Police have commended the coordinated efforts that led to the arrest and the removal of illegal weapons from the community.
