Crane Truck Crashes into House in Everest Heights, Leaving Two Injured

Everest Heights, KZN – Two people were injured after an unmanned crane truck crashed into a home on Inca Drive earlier today (Friday). The incident prompted multiple calls to the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre, with members of the public urgently requesting assistance for two women trapped in the debris.

Reaction officers and paramedics were swiftly dispatched, arriving on the scene at 11:17. However, both women had already been freed before emergency responders arrived.

A 65-year-old woman sustained a head injury, while her 36-year-old domestic employee suffered blunt force trauma to her right foot. Preliminary reports indicate that the crane truck, which was unattended at the time, rolled from across the road before slamming into the house. Both victims were in the living room when debris struck them.

Paramedics are currently treating the injured on-site. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
