Seven (7) people were injured, multiple structures were damaged and several trees uprooted during heavy winds in Ethekwini – KZN on Tuesday.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to 45 call-outs on the north coast of Durban – KZN after damaging winds affected homes & businesses. Seven (7) people sustained injuries after they were struck by debris. An informal home in Oaklands – KZN was flattened after a tree collapsed on it. The house was not occupied at the time. A biker was injured after a light pole collapsed on him in Brindhaven – KZN.
Reaction Officers were also called out to assist with clearing roads that became obstructed by debris….
