A 48-year-old man was arrested by Qonce Visible Policing members during a patrol operation in the Ginsberg area on Thursday, following a tip-off from a reliable source.
According to police reports, officers acted on credible information that led them to the Ginsberg taxi rank, where the suspect was allegedly dealing drugs. Upon arrival, the police, armed with a full description of the suspect, requested and obtained permission to search him.
The search revealed a significant quantity of illegal substances, resulting in the opening of a case for possession of Mandrax, dagga, and Tik. The confiscated drugs included:

25 bombies of dagga

10 sachets of Tik
The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is R30,000.
The suspect is set to appear before the Qonce Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 30 May 2025, to face charges related to drug possession and dealing.
