Heroin addict abducted by three men on Umhlanga Ridge Boulevard in Blackburn

A Heroin addict was abducted by three men on Umhlanga Ridge Boulevard in Blackburn – KZN today (Friday).

The victim’s mother contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) this afternoon (Friday) requesting assistance to locate 28 year old Kenneth Govender (pictured). According to the caller, her son and a friend left her home in Blackburn – KZN to purchase alcohol from Makro at approximately 13:00.

The friend later returned and informed his mother that three (3) men in a white VW Polo (registration unknown) forced Govender into their vehicle as they neared the entrance of the superstore. The vehicle thereafter sped off in an unknown direction.

His mother further stated that Govender was previously kidnapped near Palmview – KZN after he was accused of theft from the scene of a collision. He was severely beaten at a housing complex in Cornubia – KZN before being released.
