On Wednesday 19 July 2023 the police at Bayswater received a complaint from Mons Street at about 09:00.
The patrol vehicle was dispatched to attend and on arrival met the owner of Garden Service Company renting the store at the back of the yard where Barbara Elaine Coetzee lived alone.
The Garden Service workers allege that they arrived at the house where the truck with tools is parked and the front gate was not opened as usual.
One of them jumped over the fence and saw the body of the 75-year-old elderly lying on the ground through the window.
The paramedics were summoned to the scene and with all emergency personnel inside the house Barbara Elaine Coetzee was declared dead.
The Local Criminal Records Centre experts carefully combed the scene for any piece of evidence that might be useful in the investigation of the case.
A case of Murder was then opened at Bayswater Police Station.
